Today is the first day I have volunteer time at my son’s school. This will take a four hour gap in my schedule which really puts me in a time crunch for work, home and exercise time. But in this life our children and their education have to come first. So I am adjusting and moving along to the best of my ability.
Yesterday, I did pretty good. I ate all my meals at home and had some treadmill time. I did make two flubs, cooked the scallops in butter ( gasp) and had a fat glass of wine. ( double gasp). No excuses, this blog is for spilling beans not spinning webs of smoke screens and white lies.
There, glad I got that off my chest. I think I only busted through about 40 extra calories on my caloric goal so that is not so bad. I aim to do better today.
I am stewing a pot of green tea for Green Iced Tea. I keep reading about the benefits and figured it can’t hurt. It does not taste so awful but it does rub this Southern gal’s roots the wrong way a little bit. I grew up drinking sweet tea, and not sweetened tea. I mean the kind that makes your toes shake it is so sweet.
I hope to get two miles on the treadmill today. But it will need to be done in short time increments due to my schedule. Wish me luck!
