Dr. Fuhrman’s Six Week Holiday Challenge

With the holiday’s just around the corner and my goal of being able to take my son to a Water Park I have signed up for Dr. Fuhrman’s Six Week Challenge.

In a nutshell, I will be removing most meat, all processed food, sugar, milk products, artificial sugars, and white flour. It is much like Eating Clean but beans are basically replacing meat products and Dr. Fuhrman’s Recipes are generally not baked or fried.

I will be eating a big salad every day and adding cooked greens daily.

The most difficult aspect of this is traveling and I happen to be taking Little Guy to Disney during part of these six weeks. This will mean planning is essential.

I will also be pledging movement and strength training every day.

In order for me to stay on task I will be posting regularly about my food choices and my movement choices. I might even take a before picture but, you know that is somewhat out of my comfort zone.

When I am finished I will return back to the Eat Clean Diet because it is more family friendly and I do have a family. However, if Little Guy can just learn to eat beans we could make this permanent. I have read way too many articles on early childhood health not to encourage him to eat as healthy as he can.
