We bought a new tree. It seems to be a bit rounder and larger than the last one. I have about three scratch wounds trying to make this sucker look like a real tree. It is a real pain in the behind to try to make one of God’s creation that is made of plastic and metal look like a real tree. And while shopping I found these Fresh Cut Pine Smelling Stick for Your Tree, lol and I bought a few. The jury is still out on the smell, will let you know what the boys think.
I am really looking forward to getting this decorating finished up so that all these boxes in the house are out of here!
When do you start decorating for the holidays?
Chat later!

December 6, 2013 atEvery year Hubby and I have been saying we need a new tree every year but we continue to pull out the one we have. Lately, we’ve waited until a week before Christmas at times. One year we only put a table top tree out.. We intended to take ours out last weekend but never got a round to it. Since we don’t have children at home, I keep looking out for a nice nativity scene to put out instead. BabyGirl and I used to love to decorate the tree, it was ‘our’ tradition’ but since she is gone..it’s just not the same. So glad you are a warrior with only minor injuries 🙂

December 7, 2013 atWe bought the new tree because I was really homesick and when I saw it in the store I burst into tears missing my family in Memphis.
