I kick off my Whole 30 today! I am not prepared but that is okay. I will just peck along until after the microwave repair man leaves, work for a bit and then hit the local grocery for some Free Range chicken and lots of green things. I can’t wait! Why? Because I know I am going to feel better and look better.
I know that Paleo is often connected to Crossfit- well I am still going to have fun with Jillian Michaels at Curves, Leslie Sansone at home and keep planking and work my way up to 20 push-ups. I have never actually had the privilege or power to do more than 5 real push-ups so 20 will be some kind of thundering miracle.
Part of the Whole 30 is creating a new lifestyle of health, included in this lifestyle change is spending 20 minutes in the sunshine every single day. Well, I think I actually do so during the week after school while I chat with another mom on the playground. But thinking of the year of change and my aging self I want to add at least one outdoor experience that gets my hands in mother earth. So, I am going to brave the wilderness of the backyard and grow some kind of thing in a pot. I am thinking herbs and later tomatoes and peppers.
As a reminder of the importance of the great outdoors and a healthy lifestyle DH drove little guy and myself to the harbor to enjoy the sunset and a good fish dinner. We had a very nice time. The photos were taken with my Iphone so that are not spectacular but they are for memories and that is that.
