The key to love is to look at both sides and realize that there are misconceptions and truths, hurt, fear, love and pain. But yet, there is hope in the midst of even the most trying times. To say that one side of reason is pure evil and corrupt sounds a lot like darkness is winning. You simply cannot let the darkness win.
I look at the night sky drizzled with purple and pink hues, hugging the earth expectantly for its peaceful slumber and I know that deep down there is hope.
I love this country. I was that kid waiting at the window for my father to come home from deployment. I was also that kid who realized that every place I moved there were new and different experiences with new and different people.
I lately have been pulled so strongly to St. Francis that I feel like there is something in his life that is the answer.
I may not know the answer now, but. I know it is not hate.
Hate is not my faith. Hate for one side, be it the left or the right is not my faith.
Christ is beside me on my left and my right.
When I hear those words, I know my answer. The road to peace is not a side; it is sitting down and breaking bread with all my brothers and sisters, even the ones I have not met.
Stay Awake!
